Anatomy of Perception - Ethereal Maison

"Replicas of ghost mirrors' offer mysterious worlds of shimmering magnetism and kaleidoscopic hues. The work places us in the teenage years of the artist, driven by the gifts of collection by her mother, who offered her antique mirrors and brushes. The replicas of the following stem from a place of wonder, of memory, of re-porpusing preception through the warpped transcendance of time. Memories of her teenage years transmuted to become the other, the self and the objects which allow for transformation.

Anatomies of perception, coming from Aj's Rose's Book, acts as an invocation: of fluid identities, of sensorial knowledge, of experimental anatomies that refuse to be fixed. Here, the scar is not a trace of damage but a cartography of transformation. The body becomes a porous archive

-haunted by memory, touch, and the reverberations of collective pain and pleasure. The works on display traverse visual and material languages to explore how we inhabit ourselves and each other across thresholds of visibility, desire, and perception.
